Architecture

CAD MANAGER

Moser Mayer Phoenix Associates is seeking a CAD Manager with strong AutoCAD management skills. Responsibilities include supervision, training and enforcement of our firm wide project delivery system. Upcoming challenges will also include our firm’s transition from AutoCAD to BIM technologies. The successful candidate must be self-motivated and able to function with minimum supervision.

Minimum Requirements of Candidate Seeking the Position:

At least five years of AutoCAD experience, including Architectural Desktop (ADT) and Autodesk Building Systems (ABS) modules, with attainment of “expert” proficiency. Must have knowledge of the latest versions (2008) of all modules. Working knowledge of Revit is desirable but not absolutely required.
Proven track record in training AutoCAD users
Proven ability to communicate (written and oral) expectations of firm wide project delivery policy and production procedures.
Knowledge of all building design disciplines (architectural and engineering)

Responsibilities of the CAD Manager Position:

Maintain and enforce Firm’s CAD standards
Provide technical support in file management and preparation of documents
Provide trouble shooting and evaluation of both hardware and software problems
Participation if personnel performance evaluations regarding CAD proficiencies of staff
Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Function as Firm Archivist for data retrieval and precedents found within previously completed projects.
Preparation of 3D models/renderings.

Moser Mayer Phoenix Associates in Greensboro, NC is looking for an experienced, motivated individual capable of working with our Principals and Architectural Staff as a Project Architect.

Our work includes projects with a range of Corporate, Institutional and Governmental clients. The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years of design experience in Architecture and proven AutoCAD (Desktop 2004) experience. Additional experience in 3-D Presentation Renderings is preferred. Salary will be commensurate with skills and experience.

Moser Mayer Phoenix Associates in Greensboro, NC is looking for an experienced, motivated individual capable of working with our Principals and Architectural Staff as an advanced Intern or Registered Architect capable of producing detailed construction documents on AutoCAD.

The successful candidate will have three to five years of design experience in Architecture and proven AutoCAD (Desktop 2004) experience. Senior ELECTRICAL Engineer

Moser Mayer Phoenix Associates is currently looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer. This Engineer will be responsible for the design of lighting, power, fire alarm, data and telecommunications for our building design projects; and the production of all plans and specifications associated with that design. This Engineer will also participate in construction administration of the building electrical systems installation once a project goes into construction.

The successful candidate should be a registered Professional Engineer with a minimum of 5-8 years of experience in the design of the above electrical systems for commercial, industrial and institutional buildings. Experience in the direct management of medium to large design projects as well as experience in the use of AutoCAD Release 2004 or higher is also required.

This person will have significant contact with clients and staff, and may also participate, as necessary, in our marketing efforts. Therefore, the ability to work well with people is required for this position. A successful candidate for this position could be considered for the position of Director of Electrical Engineering at Moser Mayer Phoenx Associates, so the proven ability to manage people is desirable.
