The new central chilled water plant offers many advantages over the previoius smaller, decentralized chilled water systems that served individual and small groups of buildings.
The new central chilled water plant and 24 inch chilled water distribution system offers more flexibility, back-up capability, reliability and an overall reduction in campus-wide operating and maintenance cost.
This chilled water plant also allows for future growth. New buildings will be able to connect directly to the chilled water system, avoiding the cost and maintenance required for additional cooling equipment. |
