CASWELL COUNTY COURTHOUSE

MMPA designed renovations for the adaptive reuse and restoration of Caswell County's historic courthouse.

Noted local architect William Percival designed the existing courthouse, built in 1861.

• Main level was renovated and adapted to county offices
• Upstairs courtroom level renovated for commissioners meeting room
• Ornate plaster ceilings and moldings restored
• Installation of a new elevator without altering the historic fabric of the courthouse
• Restorations to lower level to house restroom facilities, mechanical / electrical rooms, and storage
